This leading role is a unique opportunity to influence HR strategies and practices that directly contribute to the success and growth of an established not-for-profit organisation.About the roleReporting directly to the CEO, the Director of People and Learning is an integral member of Carpentaria's leadership team.You will oversee a team, driving the development and implementation of contemporary HR strategies that align with the organisation's strategic goals and NDIS standards, ensuring excellence in disability support services.In this pivotal role, you will:Lead and implement modern HR practices throughout the employee lifecycle, positioning Carpentaria as an employer of choice.Develop and foster effective relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders, managers, and employees, ensuring the People & Learning team is viewed as a strategic partner.Oversee Enterprise Agreement management and provide advice, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational goals.Design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing.Drive workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and professional development strategies to attract and retain quality staff.Review, improve, and implement Carpentaria's learning and development framework to maintain a highly skilled workforce that meets legislative and NDIS standards.About youTo succeed in this role, you will have:Extensive experience delivering and managing HR services at a senior level in a complex, geographically dispersed environment.Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of up to 5 staff and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation, workforce issues, and the legislative frameworks within the disability sector.Strong written communication skills and experience developing workforce strategies, policies, and procedures.A proactive approach with highly developed problem-solving and project management skills.A degree level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent significant experience is highly desirable.Why work with us?Carpentaria is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred services that support individuals to live their best lives.
