The Parliamentary, Audit and Risk Branch contributes to this objective by providing trusted parliamentary, security, integrity, and assurance services that enable the department to deliver on its purpose.
The Director, Parliamentary Workflow, Appointments and Systems will be a member of the Branch's executive team, providing leadership, building culture, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to shape parliamentary and ministerial appointment processes and build networks across government, including representing the department at whole-of-government forums.
The key duties of the position include:Overseeing the workflow of parliamentary documents, such as ministerial correspondence, briefs, and submissions, ensuring a high level of service and quality to our Ministers and the Executive.Providing central oversight of governance matters relevant to portfolio entities, board appointments, and board appointment reporting.Administration of the department's Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).Collaborating with the branch leadership team to build and promote agility and flexibility of staff across the branch, to build capacity and ensure consistency.Presenting data using PowerBI reporting.Providing accurate and timely advice to senior management and the Ministers' offices.Providing leadership for a small team, undertaking people management functions, and driving process improvements across the team.Employment at the Department of Education is subject to conditions prescribed within the Public Service Act 1999 including:
