Job DescriptionYour New Role Development Victoria is seeking a strategic leader to join our Origination and Delivery team as the Director – Origination Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver high-profile pipeline projects across the Origination, Housing, Precincts, and Civic Infrastructure divisions. You will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and commercial advice, leading the development of business cases, and fostering innovation to align with Development Victoria's corporate objectives and government priorities.
Lead the delivery of business cases, feasibility studies, and strategic advice on behalf of government stakeholders.Collaborate with senior leaders to secure and deliver pipeline opportunities.Promote a "portfolio mindset" to maximise cross-project synergies.Prepare and review business cases, and strategic options for new projects.Drive sustainability, social outcomes, and affordable housing initiatives.Contribute to corporate documents such as Board Papers, Corporate Plans, and Ministerial Briefs.Inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high performance and accountability.Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.Provide coaching, development opportunities, and regular performance feedback.Proactively identify and manage project risks, ensuring alignment with corporate and government policies.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout You A Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, commerce, public policy, project management, or a related field.
