Director - Origination

Our client is seeking a highly experienced individual with strong commercial real estate lending and business development experience to join their growing office in Melbourne. As a Director of Origination, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of new commercial real estate lending opportunities. You will be responsible for sourcing new lending opportunities, while also building and maintaining relationships with borrowers, as well as referral partners.
Key responsibilities: Develop an origination strategy to identify and attract commercial real estate lending opportunities.Proactively source new lending opportunities through relationships with borrowers and referral partners, such as brokersEstablish and maintain relationships with key industry partnersAssist with deal structuring and execution in line with credit risk policyCollaborate and work closely alongside internal teams, including credit and legal Key experience: Minimum of 7 to 8 years experience in commercial real estate lendingHigh level understanding of commercial real estate transactions, including deal structuring and credit analysisStrong broker networks and a proven track record of originating new commercial real estate transactionsOutstanding analytical skills and ability to assess potential investment opportunitiesExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to establish relationships with internal and external partners Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
