Management - Schools (Education & Training) Sapphire Coast Anglican College is a PK-12, independent, Anglican College and is a Christ-centred, student-focused, and community-minded school that develops extraordinary learners with a passion to serve others. Established in 1994, the College is located on the Far South Coast of NSW in the heart of the Bega Valley with an enrolment of approximately 430 K-12 students and an additional 35 students attending Pre-Kindergarten.
An outline of the role's responsibilities is presented below, but as this is a newly created position within the College executive, it may be subject to minor changes by negotiation with the successful candidate, and/or as need arises.
Job Grade: SCAC executive-level remuneration plus an approximately 0.4 teaching load. Salary details will be made available, confidentially, to all candidates.

Ability to promote teaching and learning excellence which meets and extends the needs of the full range of student abilities. Ability to use, and promote the use of internally- and externally-generated data to inform teaching practices. Possess a well-developed ability to encourage, support, lead, provide formative assessment to, and when appropriate, challenge members of staff in teaching and learning practices. Key Responsibilities: Co-chair the Heads of Faculty meetings with the Director of Curriculum. As required by the Head of Primary School, lead and contribute to teaching and learning developments at Primary School meetings. Oversee the College's assessment methodologies and lead change as required. Oversee the work of the Education Support Centre. Oversee the structure and delivery of the Discovery Program across Primary and Secondary School. Engage with parents and carers to enhance understanding of all aspects of teaching and learning at the College. Oversee the professional development of teachers' classroom practices, PK-12 in collaboration with the Deputy Principal/Director of Wellbeing and Head of Primary. Identify and manage professional learning opportunities in teaching and learning for all academic staff. Have line management responsibilities for some Heads of Faculty (with others line-managed by Director of Curriculum). Promote teaching and learning excellence that meets and extends the needs of the full range of student abilities. Ensure all teaching is based on the appropriate curriculum. Use, and promote the use of internally- and externally-generated data by all teachers, to inform teaching practices. Manage pre-service teachers in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum. Take responsibility for the teaching and learning component of the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan. Uphold the Christian teachings of the College, encouraging students to serve others and explore Christ.
