Job Description
Services Australia (the agency) is recruiting to fill specialised Director roles within the Operations Management Division. In these roles, you will be responsible for leading teams who deliver a range of critical workforce planning functions including capacity planning, forecasting, scheduling, real-time management, and business continuity and incident management in the agency, operating the largest contact centre in the southern hemisphere.
As an Executive Level leader within the Operations Management Division, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills to support and develop the capability of leaders and staff responsible for Operations Management functions. The Operations Management Division has the critical responsibility and specialty expertise for ensuring service continuity to millions of customers. The division enables service delivery through responsive, collaborative, and innovative operations management at scale and pace, maximising resources to meet customer and government outcomes.
To be successful in these roles, you will need to have experience in leading diverse and inclusive teams and developing individual people to achieve strategic and tactical objectives. You will also need to have the required specialised skills in one of the noted functions. Successful candidates will play a key role in building and sustaining relationships, working in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders to spearhead the delivery of industry best practice operations management.
Work Environment
Roles may involve regular travel and/or management of geographically dispersed teams. Some roles may involve managing teams in a face-to-face, virtual, and/or scheduled, processing and/or telephony environments.
