The Director of Supply Chain Apps & Platforms oversees the team responsible for developing & maintaining Supply Chain-related software solutions, as well as ongoing support for Supply Chain-related Saa S platforms.
This role involves strategic planning, team management, and close collaboration with Stakeholders, Business Analysts & Solution Architects to ensure the software and Saa S products meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Responsibilities: Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Manage the budget and resources, ensuring cost-effective delivery of feature development and user-focused support services.
Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including agile methodologies, coding standards, and code reviews.
Provide technical leadership and guidance, including architectural decisions and technical debt management.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies & industry trends and assess their potential impact on Res Med's Supply Chain systems.
Manage and mentor software engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure continuous improvement of application support processes and feature development practices.
Collaborate with IT leadership to align support services with organizational goals and objectives.
Manage the application support strategy to improve service quality, efficiency, and feature adoption.
Ensure the team is equipped to handle the integration of new solutions and changes into the support process.
Monitor application performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for new features, enhancements or refine the architecture as needed.
Provide regular reports on application support activities, feature implementation progress, and performance to leadership and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with application vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience managing high-performing teams, delivering and supporting IT solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in managing remote and hybrid teams.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and team management skills.
Extensive experience using Atlassian tools, including Confluence & JIRA.
Extensive experience in software development, including.
Net, React/Node Java Script, K2 or similar low-code platforms.
Strong technical knowledge of application architecture, integration, databases and IT infrastructure.
Strong experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred: Minimum of 12 years of related experience.
Experience with IT service management tools and processes, such as ITIL.
Familiarity with industry-standard application support metrics and KPIs.
