Director Of Sales - Tourism

Australia Wildlife Parks are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales.
This pivotal role will drive revenue, expand international market share, and raise the global profile of Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, Mogo Wildlife Park, and Hunter Valley Wildlife Park.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is a mixture of hands-on sales and strategy.
You will have extensive experience in managing relationships with inbound tour operators, overseas wholesalers, and travel agents.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales and maximise revenue, aiming to exceed annual sales targets.
Design and execute sales strategies, including securing tour inclusions and identifying new business opportunities from international markets.
Manage all international advertising activities in cooperation with trade partners and industry organisations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with inbound tour operators, overseas travel wholesalers, and agents.
Leverage expertise in online travel agents to boost listings, enhance bookings, and drive visibility in international markets.
Develop tactical sales plans targeting international markets, focusing on strategic meetings with key partners.
Represent the company at industry events domestically and internationally.
Provide weekly/monthly reports on sales activity, booking statistics, and forecasts.
About You:
Self-starter with the ability to analyse competition market positioning across both B2B and B2C segments.
Extensive experience managing relationships with inbound tour operators, overseas wholesalers, and travel agents.
Strong networks in the tourism industry and a thorough understanding of international tourism distribution networks.
Strong organisational, interpersonal, relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
A proven track record of delivering results within tourism.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Valid NSW driver's licence.
Travel Requirements:
Domestic and international travel may be required.
