Joining the Journey Beyond family, you will play an integral role in supporting our business as we continue to share special places and shape lasting memories for our guests.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Director of Sales to join our 100-room Monarto luxury resort and lodge, opening to the public mid 2025. The Director of Sales is responsible for strategically leading the sales activity to maximise revenue potential and optimise business for the Hotel across all channels, to ensure budget expectations are achieved.The role will:Lead the sales function from strategy to delivery in partnership with the broader hotel team.Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities leveraging the broader Journey Beyond team and resources.Build and maintain strong relationships with key guests and stakeholders to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.Develop and manage the sales department's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed sales targets and drive performance.Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote services and generate leads.Actively seek new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.Relationship managementwith key contacts across all market segments.Be active in providing market intelligence for the group pipeline, yield/forecast meetings, marketing plan and annual budgets.Work closely with all departments in a supportive and flexible manner, to ensure the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests and clientsAbout you:You will be a go-getter that is results-oriented while equally guest focused. A qualification in Sales, Business or related field is advantageous while previous experience in a lead sales role is essential, preferably in hotels/tourism/hospitality. People management experience in a high-performance environment will be greatly regarded. You will be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work under pressure when required.
