We invite you to join us at this incredibly exciting time for our hotel as Director of Sales for Conference and Events. Your day to day Reporting to the Hotel Director of Sales, our Director Sales for Conference and Events will lead our C&E Sales and Planning teams to secure and deliver the most Incredible Occasions for our events and conferencing clients.
Work closely with the C&E Operations and Culinary teams, you will ensure the seamless delivery of Incredible Occasions across all meetings and events at the hotel whilst achieving revenue, profit, and guest satisfaction targets for the department.
Your immaculate presentation, passion for securing sales, sound commercial acumen and ability to lead, inspire and motivate your busy and varied C&E sales department will be essential for your success in this role.
This high-impact role offers significant influence and rapid career progression.
You'll develop and implement C&E sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets, build relationships with key clients and drive C&E business across the hotel.
What we need from you 2+ years' experience and proven track record in Sales within Events is essentialProven success in securing sales and maximising revenue with the C&E industryExceptional mentor and leadership skills to nurture and develop your teamStrategic and tactical thinker - ability to develop strategic C&E Sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on timeAbility to work across multiple diversified business units or multiple projectsUnderstands the C&E industry dynamics, trends, and disciplinesIn-depth knowledge of Sales principles and selling techniquesStrong organisational, written & communication skills, with strong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workload & manage projectsYou must meet the legal requirements to live & work in AustraliaWhat we offer You'll be rewarded for your hard work with a range of benefits that supports you throughout your IHG career journey
