About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary part-time, 24 hours per fortnight, three years / Location: Townsville. The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership in paediatric education and training within the Townsville Hospital and in Queensland.
Support local paediatric training.Support trainees allocated to the Townsville DPE across the network of Queensland training sites.Work with Regional and State DPE's and Directors of Paediatrics to develop new opportunities and pathways for training as required.Work towards meeting RACP training requirements and accreditation standards for THHS.Ensure junior medical staff are supported and receive orientation, and support during attachments to THHS department of paediatrics.What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $169,552 p.a. comprising:Salary range of $100.78 to $127.77 p.h. Role Requirements: Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in speciality areas and current registration and / or eligible for registration as a paediatric specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.Educational qualifications desirable, (or commitment to enrol and commence training after appointment).Has a clinical appointment at the THHS in Paediatrics.All applicants must be awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) by the Townsville HHS Credentialing and SoCP committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.Possession of class C drivers' licence.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
