Director of Outdoor Learning and Adventure (K-12)Wenona is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Director of Outdoor Learning and Adventure to lead, prepare, and deliver Wenona's Outdoor Learning and Adventure program.

The Position The Director of Outdoor Learning and Adventure (K-12) is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering Wenona's Outdoor Learning and Adventure program.
They will work alongside Wenona's Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement enriching outdoor education experiences that foster a spirit of adventure within our students.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver the curriculum, focusing on Wenona's values of courage, strength, grace, wisdom, and kindness.Collaborate with Heads of School, Heads of Department, and various stakeholders to create exciting and engaging learning opportunities for environmental education.Create and lead the delivery of domestic and international expeditions and tours in a safe manner.Develop strategic plans for Outdoor Learning and Adventure experiences.Engage in strategic partnerships with communities and outdoor education providers to provide high-quality programs for our students.Coordinate the Duke of Edinburgh Award program, working alongside students to help achieve their goals.This is a temporary full-time position, commencing March 2025, until the end of Term 4, 2025.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will have management and leadership skills that engage and motivate staff and students.
In particular, you will have a strong commitment to outdoor education, excellent general sports knowledge, and an understanding of the demands on young people.
You will be resilient and adaptable to changing demands and have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
By displaying your skills and passion for outdoor education, you will enrich the experience within K-12 and foster a spirit of adventure within our students.
