An opportunity has become available for a Director of Nursing (Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Analyse data with nursing leaders to prioritise education needs and outcomesNegotiate resource allocation with divisional leaders to align workforce needsDevelop strategic partnerships with education providers for workforce planningLead the Nursing and Midwifery Education Governance Committee to track prioritiesContribute to state-wide education forums to support workforce sustainabilityAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit (NMERU) drives the development of an appropriately skilled nursing and midwifery workforce to deliver evidence-based, person-focused care to our community. The unit is led by the Director of Nursing NMERU, and sits within the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Experience.
