The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492) vacancy. Our Aim: CYMHS Tasmania are seeking a Regional Director with extensive knowledge, expertise and experience of child and youth mental health service delivery and management. This position will be based in Hobart and is a Southern Tasmania-based role.

Through CAMHS Reform, clinical services in Tasmania are under development with many exciting professional, developmental, and research opportunities available. This position provides operational and professional leadership across existing CAMHS programs and new programs that are being implemented. Our vision is to provide world-class, innovative mental health care to support our children and young people live life to the fullest with the best possible health and social outcomes.

The role will include: Provide clinical leadership and direction in the development, management, and evaluation of all facets of the overall service, including strategic direction to continually enhance the provision of safe and quality services which meet the needs of all key stakeholders.Facilitate the development and maintenance of active partnerships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to optimise overall sector integration and client outcomes within CAMHS.Provide operational and clinical support to all managers and senior clinical staff across the Southern region, and hold a statewide portfolio based on clinical background.Details of Appointment: Registered Nurse, Grade 8
Permanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $137,387 - $159,884 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post-graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that led to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or the United Kingdom.Current Working with Children Registration.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
