About The Opportunity Bowral & District Hospital, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, are seeking a Director of Medical Services to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with senior clinical and management colleagues to ensure the delivery of exceptional clinical outcomes for our patients and services.
What You'll Be doing As the Director of Medical Services, you will oversee the operational management of our medical services, ensuring the delivery of quality clinical outcomes for our community while driving Bowral & District Hospital key performance indicators and strategic priorities. You will work closely with our senior nursing management team and other operational leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) or other Specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) award. Demonstrated leadership skills within a complex health service with the ability to motivate and organise staff to achieve organisational, program and professional outcomes. Demonstrated ability and experience in clinical strategic planning and clinical leadership for the provision of programs and services consistent with the responsibilities of the position. Demonstrated success in driving improvements in clinical governance systems, accreditation and provision of healthcare services. Demonstrated experience in medical workforce management and supporting the delivery of medical education. Proven ability to design and lead change initiatives with the purpose of enhancing the delivery of care in a public health setting. Demonstrate ability to communicate, consult and negotiate with senior health professionals, management, external interest groups and government agencies. Need more information?
