IGGS aspires to develop graduates as articulate, critical thinkers who are kind, connected and vibrant, have a life-long love of learning, and who have a voice and use it to create positive change in their communities.The Director of Learning and Innovation (DoLI) is part of the Executive Team and is responsible for the delivery of school-wide strategic initiatives in learning and teaching and for the day-to-day operations of teaching and learning within the Senior School. The DoLI oversees recruitment and professional learning of Senior School teaching staff. The DoLI is also responsible for the leadership development of Heads of Faculty, for continually enhancing the pedagogy of all Senior School teachers and for overseeing processes and events which develop the differentiation of teaching to meet individual students' needs and improve learning outcomes for students.Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate will lead innovation and research-based initiatives in line with our School's strategic direction, and provide leadership related to curriculum, teaching, learning, assessment and reporting that is informed by best practice and maximises student outcomes.With a negotiated start date in 2025, the successful candidate will demonstrate:Leadership of the delivery of strategic projects designed to enhance teaching and learning across the school;Depth and breadth of knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in education and their implications for continuous school improvement;Knowledge of effective learning and assessment frameworks that use data, benchmarks and observations to monitor every Senior School student's progress;Encourage, model and monitor the use of digital technologies to support, enhance and extend teaching and learning throughout the Senior School;Ability to work with parents, teachers and students in a diverse community to develop a learning environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity and excellence;Authenticity in leadership that prioritises relationships, and inspires students, staff and the wider community.Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar has zero tolerance for child abuse and is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, as outlined in the Child Protection Policy.Hutton Consulting Australia is partnering with Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar in the search and selection process for this position.
