Overview of role: The Director of ICT is an important leadership position within our College, responsible for guiding a small dedicated team across service delivery, IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations.
Operating at both a strategic and tactical level this role will oversee:
IT service management, ensuring seamless daily operations.Infrastructure maintenance, disaster recovery and business continuity.Cybersecurity measures, including threat detection and compliance.Delivery of IT projects to enhance our digital capabilities.As technical lead, the Director of ICT will also be the highest internal escalation point for ICT incidents.
Acting as an advisor this role works closely with stakeholders across the College and external partners to deliver innovative, high-quality technical solutions aligned with our strategic goals.
Key Selection Criteria: Relevant tertiary and/or industry qualifications and/or experience.A proactive IT professional with experience leading an ICT department or small team.Proficiency in IT service management and in WiFi technologies and emerging IT trends, ensuring robust and innovative IT infrastructure solutions.Expertise in Windows technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), Office 365, and cloud environments.Strong leadership capabilities to mentor people and foster a customer-focused team environment.Expertise in cybersecurity operations and compliance.Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement.Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.The successful applicant must hold or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check card and a National Police Record Check.Applications close at 9am, Friday 10 January 2025.
