The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, Executive Lounge and 12 meeting spaces collectively totaling 1800m2. Located at the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal, it is the first accommodation, meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and leading a team of 4 in the Human Resources department, we are seeking an experienced human resources professional who is capable of managing all activities related to human resources across all 3 Hotels and the Conference Centre and work closely to guide and coach the Executive Team.
This is a Full-time on-site role.
Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Formulate & drive the people strategy & HR Plan across the group; Drive career progression through Leadership Program, career development pathways and annual performance development processes; Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, internal policies and risk management; Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery; Consult, coach, advise, influence and respectfully challenge business leaders, in line with company's culture and values; Adopting recruitment best practices and implementing talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain exceptional talent, including Visa sponsorships; Providing guidance and support on employee relations issues ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and handling complex cases including conflict resolution and mediation; Overseeing the management of HR operations and maintaining currency with employment laws and regulations; Leading the effective management of workplace health, safety and wellness activities. To be successful in this role you should demonstrate: Demonstrated strategic leadership and collaborative people management style that fosters and motivates a results-driven environment; At least 3 years as a Generalist HR Manager; Proven capability in developing and driving HR strategy, managing change and driving organisational culture coupled with sound decision-making capabilities and a strategic mindset; Relevant qualifications in human resources, organisational development or related discipline; A positive "can do" attitude with a curious mindset; Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of contemporary human resources practices, legislation and industrial instruments (Modern Awards). Knowledge of Hospitality Industry General Award 2020 would be preferred; Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully build relationships with people at all levels within the organisation, lead with empathy and passion; Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to 'think outside the box' to find creative solutions; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; A high level of accuracy and attention to detail; Hospitality experience advantageous.
