Your Opportunity As the Director of Faculty, you will play a pivotal role in providing direction and leadership within your discipline. Your responsibilities will include establishing and nurturing industry partnerships to enhance the organisation's standing, reputation, and growth. This position sits in the Faculty of Industry Trade Skills and reports to the Executive Director, Education and Training, TAFE Queensland, Gold Coast Region. This is a Temporary Full-Time opportunity to 10 October 2025 unless otherwise determined. The position will be based primarily at the Ashmore Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland Campuses. As this employment is under an Individual Employment Agreement, the total remuneration package (TRP) will be negotiated based on skills and capability you bring to the role. Key Responsibilities Contribute to TAFE Queensland's strategic goals by establishing and maintaining sustainable business relationships which lead to long term revenue growth. Lead the provision of educational and support services to maximise the access and retention of students. Drive a business improvement culture through the development and leadership of delivery teams with respect to standards, processes and systems that enhance the customer experience. Foster collaborative work processes across TAFE Queensland that focus on customer service, staff empowerment, efficient work practices and encouragement of initiative and innovation. Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure TAFE Queensland Gold Coast is a preferred supplier of educational products to emerging markets and industry. Participate in operational planning functions including resources and budget planning, reporting and management. Deliver on a range of high-level business outcomes and develop strategies to mitigate risk. Provide commercial leadership and influence within both the internal and external environment. Ensure commercial success through managing efficiency and effectiveness of financial and non-financial performance targets. Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability. Analyse complex problems and implement appropriate solutions. Highly Desirable Requirements Tertiary qualifications in business and/or extensive industry experience. Current Workplace Training and Assessment qualifications. Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
