Salary Package: $120,000 – $140,000 + superannuation (depending on previous experiences)

Reports To: Head of Marketing, Communications and Events
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the Sydney office, 2 days remote)

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Event Programming and Production to join our team and take the lead in crafting compelling and commercially successful events that resonate with our members.
Role Overview: The Director of Event Programming and Production is responsible for conceptualising, planning, and delivering both new and existing events.
This position requires a creative and strategic thinker with expertise in developing impactful large-scale industry events, including content, programming, and speaker selection as well as event commercial outcomes.
In this role, you will work closely with the broader marketing, communication, and events team, as well as the sponsorship team, to drive ticket and sponsorship sales and achieve strong commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Event Conceptualisation: Lead the creation of new event concepts and enhance existing series, aligning them with PWN's mission and appealing to our members' interests and needs.Programme Development: Design engaging programmes by identifying impactful topics and themes that offer significant value to our members.Speaker Selection: Identify and secure a diverse and high-calibre range of speakers from within and outside our network, ensuring programming remains fresh and relevant.Commercial Outcomes: Drive the commercial success of each event by collaborating closely with the sponsorship team to support ticket and sponsorship sales and exploring additional revenue opportunities.Budget Management: Manage event budgets effectively to ensure financial targets are met without compromising quality.Event Production Management: Oversee the event production process from start to finish, coordinating with team members and stakeholders to ensure flawless execution.Event Planning: Select event dates, locations, and venues in alignment with strategic goals and member preferences.Collaboration: Partner with the events team to ensure smooth logistics, invitations, and supplier management, as well as with the marketing and communication team for promotional activities.Stakeholder Management: Maintain alignment with PWN's brand and objectives by working closely with internal teams, sponsors, and partners.Event Reporting: Analyse event outcomes and provide regular updates on financial performance, attendee feedback, and alignment with objectives to the Head of Marketing, Communications, and Events.Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in creating concepts for large industry events, including programming, content development, topic selection, and speaker curation.Strong understanding of the financial sector or related industries is preferred.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Financial acumen, including experience in managing budgets and achieving targeted financial outcomes.Creative and strategic thinker who can develop compelling and valuable event concepts.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.What We Offer: Competitive Salary Package: Base salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, with a potential bonus of up to $30,000 based on the achievement of commercial targets.Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy a hybrid work model with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week.Professional Growth: Join a team committed to continuous learning and career development.Supportive Culture: Be part of a collaborative team that values diversity and recognises individual contributions.Regular Team-Building Events: Participate in team-building activities designed to foster camaraderie and strengthen team connections.Additional Benefits: Extra paid leave at the end of the year to recharge and return refreshed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
