Details of the offer

We are currently seeking a Director of Emergency Medicine Training (DEMT). The ERH Emergency Department (ED) manages in excess of 28,000 presentations per annum. Reporting to the Director of Emergency Medicine, the DEMT is responsible for:Being the principle contact point for ACEM trainees at ERH, ensuring that an appropriate training program is maintained according to ACEM accreditation requirementsProviding regular feedback, guidance and support to trainees, and provide trainees with information regarding training programs and ACEM examination regulationsSupporting trainees to develop in all domains of the ACEM Curriculum FrameworkAssess and provide structured feedback on overall performance during training placements at ERH through In-training Assessments (ITAs)When rostered clinically, assess and treat all categories of patients presenting to the Emergency Department along best practice guidelines, including stabilisation of the acutely ill patientERH services the Shire of Campaspe and the cross-border Murray River Council. Echuca Moama and townships are located directly across the state border from one another, separated by the Murray River. Echuca and Moama are vibrant tourist towns with exciting cultural heritage, restaurant scene, sporting facilities, seemingly endless leisure and recreational options all within 2 ½ hours from Melbourne.
