Director of Business Development - Banking & Capital MarketsWe are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development with a proven track record of excellence and over-achievement in driving profitable growth and transformation within the Banking and Capital Markets IT Services markets to join our highly successful global Banking/Capital Markets team.
The candidate must have a demonstrable track record of originating and closing offshore/nearshore IT Services engagements with the gravitas to engage at C-level across major banking and/or capital markets organizations.
Candidate must understand the concepts and key messages behind Agile and Digital Services and have sold full life cycle of software development (Consulting, Development, Testing, Support).
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a record of overachieving sales targets.
We are looking for proven net new logo business salespeople from an IT Services Background, not a product sales background. This is an Individual Contributor role.
Responsibilities Major focus on closing 'Big Ticket' deals. Proven record of exceeding sales/revenue targets, resulting in consistent above-target performance within sales career at personal and managerial levels. Specialties: Banking and Capital Markets Verticals in an Individual Contributor role. Team Player able to motivate and drive individuals and teams to consistently over-achieve and grow. Identification and acquisition of new clients and projects in the sector. Self-starter with end-to-end ownership of the sales process from acquisition to completion. Relationship management, maintenance, and use of your network. Individual bidding as well as coordination and participation in contract negotiations. Internal coordination of the support of other teams, also abroad. Use of marketing tools to obtain new orders. Participation and moderation of external events. What skills and experience do you need? 8+ years of professional IT Services net new logo hunting sales experience at a senior level in the Banking and Capital Markets Industry vertical. Self-Starter and structured work ethic. Results orientated & commercially focused. Multiple years' experience in Technical sales with a thorough understanding of IT services, principles, and practices (Not Product or SAAS platform sales). Understands and demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving. Communicates fluently and effectively in business writing and present information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Able to plan, schedule, and monitor own work within deadlines. Maintains awareness of developing technologies and takes some responsibility for personal development. Possess technical and commercial background, persistence, and persuasiveness needed to succeed in a sales role. Strong experience of methods and techniques for preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and statements of work.
