Following 14 years of dedicated service, our Head of Boys Boarding has decided to finish his tenure at the school. is strongly committed to residential education, student well-being, and care;

values diversity, inclusion, culture, and tradition;

seeks best practices in boarding and encourages ongoing learning and growth;

provides both strategic and operational leadership; and

upholds the highest standards of duty of care and student protection, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all boarders.

The Director of Boarding/Head of Residence is a full-time, senior leadership position at The Cathedral School, and a member of the 2025 Executive team. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and administrative skills, with the ability to manage both strategic and operational responsibilities.

As Director of Boarding, the role involves the strategic leadership, management, and overall success of the school's boarding program. This includes ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all boarders, overseeing policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of pastoral care and student welfare across both boys' and girls' residences. The Director leads the recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing support of boarding staff, fostering a collaborative and professional culture. Additionally, the Director manages budgeting, resourcing, and systems that promote boarders' well-being and development, ensuring alignment with the school's broader strategic objectives and values.

As Head of Residence, the position is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of a boarding house.
