Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for more than 250,000 people across a geographic area of 150,000km 2 , delivering a comprehensive range of services across 21 facilities, from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
Townsville University Hospital, located adjacent to one of Queensland's leading tertiary institutions, James Cook University, is the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia, providing specialist referral services for 700,000 people living from Mackay, to the Torres Strait, to the Northern Territory border.
We are planning and innovating for the future, advancing healthcare through impactful research, training tomorrow's health sector workforce. The Director, Nutrition and Dietetics will lead and manage the provision of comprehensive nutrition and dietetic services at Townsville University Hospital (TUH), across multiple facilities with the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) and outreach areas within North Queensland.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Clinical ExpertiseCommunicationManagementLeadership What Townsville Hospital and Health Service has to offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $218,450 p.a. comprising:Salary range of $6848.00 to $7338.70 p.f. (HP7)4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options , shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts. Requirements: The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and hold the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Possession of class C drivers' licence.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
