The successful incumbent will also collaborate as a key member of the leadership team to support the organisation in achieving its broader strategic and operational priorities.This is a significant director-level nursing leadership position within one of Melbourne's most prestigious and complex academic hospitals.About the RMHThe Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) began in 1848 as 's first public hospital. And while the RMH only had 10 beds at this time, the hospital had the community of Melbourne behind it, and was always ready to provide the best possible care for those in need.Since those early years, RMH has moved forward with purpose. Always at the forefront, leading the way on improving the quality of life for all.Today the RMH is one of the largest health providers in the state, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs.The RMH reputation for caring for all Melburnians is essential to the identity of the organisation. The RMH is here when it matters most and will continue to be the first to speak out for the unmet health needs and wellbeing of the diverse communities the RMH serves.The Director of Nursing and Operations roles are pivotal leadership positions within the RMH structure.
