Overview The New Mount Barker Hospital Development project is an election commitment by the South Australian Government.
$320 million has been committed to build a new Mount Barker Hospital on the existing site, increasing capacity from 34 beds to 102.
Also included is a new 12 bed mental health unit, rehabilitation beds, maternity beds, additional medical and surgical beds and palliative care beds.
The new hospital and health service is expected to be completed by 2027.
SA Health is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to spearhead the development of the highly anticipated New Mount Barker Hospital.
This full-time, long-term contract position, based in the picturesque Adelaide Hills region, offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery in South Australia.
As the Director, New Mount Barker Hospital Development, you will be accountable to the Chief Executive Officer and responsible for guiding this major capital project from concept to completion.
Working within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (LHN) as part of the New Mount Barker Hospital Development project team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the project team and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include: Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to assist with the success of the new facility development and service reconfiguration within the context of the engagement strategy and change management.
Providing leadership, subject matter expertise, and guidance for service and health facility planning, implementing new models of care, and driving system-wide processes to support the redevelopment.
Responsible for Operational readiness and commissioning in alignment with project timelines.
