Join us in shaping Victoria's energy future.
We're looking for an experienced leader to direct the development of policies for electricity and gas networks, feed-in tariffs, distributed energy resources, and zero-emissions vehicle charging.
This senior role involves leading a team of policy specialists, managing Victoria's contributions to the Energy and Climate Change Ministerial Council, and providing expert advice to the Minister for Energy.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead Victorian regulatory policy initiatives for electricity and gas networks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including national energy market institutions and industry groups.
Oversee and motivate a high-performing, policy-focused team.
Represent the Department in intergovernmental and industry discussions, driving strategic collaborations.
Contribute to divisional leadership, strategy, and culture.
Key Selection Criteria:
Proven experience in energy sector policy development, with a regulatory focus.
Expertise in leading projects and managing budgets in complex environments.
Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Advanced communication abilities, with a track record of influencing outcomes at the senior executive level.
