The division provides stewardship, support, and services across integrity; conduct; property; fraud and corruption; security; performance management; rehabilitation management; recruitment; learning and development; inclusion and diversity; workforce planning and analytics; workplace relations; people support; culture and health, safety and wellbeing.
The Property and Security Branch is responsible for enhancing the department's business capability through the effective management of the department's property portfolio, property enabling functions, protective security, facilities emergency management, as well as a range of corporate site services and commercial contracts nationally.
The National Contracts and Coordination team is responsible for leading the department's facilities emergency management arrangements, property contract management, and property engagement activities.
This team oversees delivery of strategies and products that support the business objectives of Property and Security Branch and fosters a strong collaboration culture.
The key duties of the position include:The Job
The duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Develop responses to complex, technical and sensitive government property, protective security and facilities emergency management requirements.Oversee the management of a national facilities emergency services contract within relevant legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, including site audits, warden training and evacuation diagrams and exercises.Support the management of branch contracts, including strategic enhancement of the service provision by the department's Property Service Provider and contributing to future arrangements requirements with the Department of Finance.Manage the production of briefing, submissions, correspondence and media material for Property and Security Branch.Manage the development and implementation of robust quality assurance strategies, policies and guidance material, including engaging with stakeholders as required.Provide strategic advice and assistance to the Assistant Secretary on matters within branch responsibility.Deliver against annual branch plans that align with organisational business and strategic outcomes.Manage key stakeholder relationships, internal and external, to ensure the delivery of enabling services that meet business needs.Provide leadership to Property and Security Branch staff, including coaching, capability development and problem solving.What we are looking forKnowledge and experience
