The Department of Justice delivers health care to adults and young people within Western Australian custodial facilities. The Director Medical Services (DMS) provides clinical leadership on all initiatives to improve patient care and is involved in strategic planning for clinical and medical services. This position also facilitates the delivery of high quality health services across acute and primary health care, mental health and Alcohol and Other Drugs and oversees population health. The DMS provides professional leadership and governance for all medical practitioners with a focus on medical workforce, patient safety and quality improvement, medical education, and population health.
