The Opportunity The Director – Market Development leads the team responsible for identifying new business opportunities spanning OPM partnerships and unbundled services across the APAC higher education sector (including Universities, Private Providers, Membership Bodies, and Corporates). The Director builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to create, nurture, and close these opportunities. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to craft, cost, and communicate service proposals and tender submissions. You will also oversee contract negotiations and ultimately hand new business over to the delivery team. Performance will be judged by individual and team sales and EBITDA revenue, along with supporting other areas of OES to achieve their goals and performance metrics.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Over 10 years of experience in consultative business development and solution selling, with a proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients.Relevant experience working within the higher education sector.Advanced written and visual communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex concepts clearly and persuasively.Strong ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team, contributing to both the OES culture and the development of products and services.Demonstrated success in business development at the C-suite level and managing a global portfolio of solution selling.Proven experience in developing, negotiating contracts, and building effective pricing models.Strong numerical skills, negotiation abilities, and commercial reasoning for effective modelling and decision-making.Proficiency in delivering engaging and impactful presentations.Ability to demonstrate initiative, work autonomously, and manage multiple priorities effectively.Comfort with working in an evolving business environment with rapidly changing processes and services.If this role is of interest, please apply now with your updated CV.
