In this executive role, you'll lead the charge in ensuring that workers in the building and construction, contract cleaning, and community services industries receive the long service leave they've earned.

As the Director of Legislative Compliance, you will:
Lead and oversee legislative compliance, remediation, levies, and regulatory enforcement, identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth.
Develop and implement a risk-based approach to enforcement activities, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Provide strategic advice to the General Manager on key enterprise risks, including stakeholder engagement, compliance, and complex statutory interpretation.
Review and rectify complex, historical administrative decisions, embedding enhanced policies and regulatory capabilities.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and legal providers, ensuring collaborative and mutually beneficial outcomes.
Lead and mentor a team of up to three direct reports, driving high performance and alignment with strategic priorities.
Participate in key committees, contributing to corporate governance and organisational integrity.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on optimising stakeholder experiences and enhancing service delivery.
We're searching for a leader with:
Proven expertise in interpreting and applying legislation, along with the ability to provide high-level strategic advice.
Significant leadership experience, especially in collaboration with executive teams to drive organisational improvements.
A track record of building and leading high-performing teams, supporting change initiatives, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence, persuade, and clearly articulate complex ideas.
Strong stakeholder and customer service management skills, with a focus on building productive relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Admission or eligibility for admission as a solicitor or barrister in Queensland, with at least five years of post-admission legal experience.
Experience leading regulatory and enforcement functions is highly regarded.
