The Northern Territory Geological Survey (NTGS) is the custodian of knowledge and data on the Territory's geology and resources, and undertakes activities to support and grow the minerals and energy exploration industry. This includes resourcing the Territory a $9.5 million ongoing program providing pre-competitive geoscience and exploration stimulus programs designed to increase exploration activity and success rates.
As the Director Industry Reporting and Core Facilities, you will: Strategically lead a diverse team to manage statutory technical reporting by the exploration industry.Provide advice on industry exploration work programs.Maximise the accessibility and usability of industry-submitted technical reports, geoscientific data, and samples.Combine knowledge of geoscience and exploration with strong data and information management skills.Drive continual improvement in the accessibility, quality, and usability of open file industry data and samples.Develop strong relationships and networks within industry and across Government.Influence resource policy and the development of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.Provide and coordinate technical advice to inform the grant and renewal of exploration titles.Provide strategic leadership for NTGS Core Facilities in Darwin and Alice Springs.Plan for future expansion and ensure delivery of best practice client service and high-quality logistical support to NTGS field programs.This is a great time to consider moving to the Territory.
