Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the ArtsOffice of the Executive Director Culture & Economic Participation; Culture & Economic Participation Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships; BrisbaneThis position will collaborate with key partners to seize the opportunity of the Games to advance social and economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, celebrate First Nations cultures and promote reconciliation to 2032 and beyond.You will work closely with the Program Steering Committee comprising Games Delivery Partners and Program Advisory Group comprising the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives to co-design program artefacts including the program blueprint and program delivery plan.Join us in this once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a lasting legacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the Brisbane 2032 Games.As the Director of the First Nations Program, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with key partners to integrate the voices Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples into the governance, planning, design and delivery of the Brisbane 2032 Games.Your key responsibilitiesLead the initial establishment of the First Nations Program to support the Program.Lead with the following functions:• Developing and maintaining program documentation• Implementing program level governance and assurance• Risk and issues management• Performance monitoring and reporting• Budget control• Information managementAdhere to or integrate with Brisbane 2032 Program Management standards, procedures and reporting requirements set by the Brisbane 2032 Coordination Office. Work Collaboratively to manage cross-Games Delivery Partner relationships including with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, maintain overarching frameworks and robust project control mechanisms and escalate issues as required. Provide support and guidance with respect to project governance, planning, coordination, critical dependency, monitoring and delivery of the First Nations Program.Identify and engage with stakeholders as required to ensure active communication and information flow and contribute to successful delivery of the program. Oversee secretariat functions to key engagement forums and governance bodies including establishing terms of reference and relevant controls. Represent the Program at departmental, interdepartmental, interagency and community meetings, forums and events.
