You'll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing yourown tasks, but you'll also be confident collaborating withothers, communicating regularly with BDO's Partners to enableus to serve our clients effectively. You'll beencouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities forenhancing our delivery and providing additional services to ourclients.
You'll be someone with:
At least 7 to 8 years of managerial experienceCAANZ/CPA qualified or overseas equivalentSignificant experience of delivering audit and otherassurance services to clients in a range of sectors, includingASX listed companiesExcellent working knowledge of Australian and InternationalGAAS, IFRS and Financial Reporting requirementsManaging and developing staff (not only audit teams), i.e.coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling,appraising, recruiting etc.Business development experience- able to identify andconvert opportunities to sell work.Proven experience in managing a wide portfolio ofconcurrent projects and project teams in a project managementframework.Managing and monitoring audit engagement economics.The successful candidate will have the followingresponsibilities:
Managing audit engagements which include initial engagementplanning, analysis of controls and processes, preparation andreview of audit documentations and management letters andreports and monitoring of engagement progress against budgetand timeline.Ensuring engagement compliance with audit, accounting,ethical standards, legislation, and BDO policies.Critically assess and enhance audit planning documentationfor complex engagements.Timely sign-off on all reporting and demonstrate ability towrite complex client documents, including technical accountingmatters.Elevating BDO's profile through marketing channels likeseminars, webinars, newsletters, and social media.Ensuring compliance with BDO independence, clientacceptance, and continuance policies, and attend to riskmanagement and quality control procedures.Developing and maintaining long-term client relationshipand identifying business development opportunitiesCoaching and developing team members to achieve technicalcompetencies and efficient performanceYou'll be able to be yourself; we'll recognise andvalue you for who you are and celebrate and reward yourcontributions to the business.
