Community Development (Community Services & Development) What you will be doing: Lead and manage internal stakeholder engagement and design development for housing projects with a focus on person-centred design solutions.Develop networks with external stakeholders and service providers to drive innovative design that meets client and program needs, and high value for money housing outcomes.Engage with the leadership team in Social and Affordable Housing Growth and across Housing and other agencies, to drive housing outcomes and create opportunities.Drive the development of new design guidelines and performance specifications for social and affordable housing.Assume the role of Design Champion for the Social Housing Delivery Office and provide specialist design and standards advice to other areas of the Department.Lead the implementation of tenant engagement and post-occupancy evaluation programs.Use high level written, personal and graphical communication approaches and negotiation skills to drive business objectives.Prepare complex reports, submissions, briefs, and correspondence in relation to the design of social and affordable housing supply.Support and help to maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.What we are looking for: Confidence and demonstrated success in managing highly complex stakeholder engagement and forming professional relationships and networks.Strong skills and demonstrated experience to drive strategic outcomes on housing design, key trend analysis and emerging social and affordable housing initiatives to executive leadership and the Minister.Extensive knowledge of design guidelines and robust experience of design collaboration in housing developments.Strong ability to effectively manage new and unexpected events and demonstrate judgement about when to escalate issues.Demonstrated skills in forming internal and external relationships using clear and concise written and verbal communication and working collaboratively with others.Ability to apply business management skills in work program and project management.Mandatory requirements: The successful candidate will be required to be a Registered Architect or Licensed Building Designer and will be required to hold a current driver's licence.
