At the Justice and Community Safety Directorate (JACS) CIO Branch we believe in fostering a supportive environment that encourages continuous growth and exploration of your fullest potential across the broad range of services delivered by for and on behalf of the ACT community by JACS.
As the Director, ICT Governance & Portfolio Management (Projects, Procurements & Contracts), you will be an integral part of the CIO Branch, building and maintaining strong and successful relationships with our business units and external partners through the provision of expert ICT project, procurement and contract management advice and delivery of ICT project, procurement and contract negotiation, formation and management services.
You will also play a significant role in the Branch's oversight of the Directorate's diverse portfolio of systems to support implementation of the JACS ICT Strategic Plan.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Ability to obtain a baseline or higher security clearance.Relevant industry or tertiary qualifications with at least ten years' experience in the management and governance of ICT projects or systems in a complex organisational environment is highly desirable.Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting is highly desirable.Driver's licence preferred.The Chief Information Officer's Branch is located at 220 London Circuit which is an activity-based working (ABW) environment.
CIOB also works from other locations at times such as Emergency Services Agency HQ.Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
Please note, this position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW).
Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
