In this role, you'll: Deliver a single view of high impact government issues, provide insights and coordinate Transport's response to Ministerial and Government Priorities.Bring your high-level situation awareness to strengthen Government related capability across Transport.Lead the consolidation and streamlining of technology systems used across our Government and Parliamentary work to create a unified, efficient and interoperable environment that enhances collaboration and reduces manual handling.Strengthen our situational awareness and performance reporting through trend and issue identification, insight advice to Deputy Secretaries, Secretary, Ministerial Offices, modal operators and the Communications branch.
Proactively manage emerging Parliamentary issues, contentious matters, and Parliamentary activities, ensuring effective resolutions and alignment with government requirements.Lead enterprise-wide government relations planning and engagement with parliamentary committees, supporting inquiries, submissions, and cross government responses.Lead the uplift in government and parliamentary related capability across Transport as well as delivering high-level insights across the organisation.Set vision and purpose for your team with a focus on capability uplift, empowerment, and employee engagement.This is an ongoing (permanent) Transport Senior Service Executive 1B role. About you: You are a forward-thinking leader with proven ability to set a strategic vision and bring it to life.
Skilled in fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders, you excel at building relationships with Ministers, government offices and interdepartmental teams.
Your experience in driving transformational change, process improvement and adopting new ways of working equips you to lead a high-performing, future-focused team.
With a deep understanding of parliamentary processes and government relations, you balance operational excellence with innovation.
You thrive in dynamic, politically sensitive environments maintaining focus on strategic outcomes while inspiring others to embrace change.
