ACT Property Group is a customer driven organisation with Community and Government Engagement the main access point to ACT Government, community, and commercial clients.This position is vital to ensuring that ACT Property Group understands and delivers services to meet or exceed government customer expectations where possible. As the Director, Government Engagement you will be responsible for managing the team to provide the first point of contact for ACT government customers. In this role you will act as the tenancy manager and coordinate and liaise with other teams in ACT Property Group and Government to provide solutions to customer problems. The group also provides day to day management of buildings under management, lease or licence, liaison with building owners and advice on service improvements.This position manages a team that provides a centre of excellence, providing advice and guidance to the organisation and executive on property and customer management for a portfolio that encompasses ACT government, community and commercial tenants.The position also oversees the team to acquire or provide new sub-leases and the issuing of leases and licenses over managed properties to directorates.As the Director, you will be required to manage government accommodation planning including analysing and reporting on occupancy, maintain the ACT Government Property Register, and inter and intra government committees. Expertise and experience in stakeholder management is highly desirable for this role. Commercial property leasing experience, whilst not mandatory, is highly beneficial for this role.The ACT Public Service supports workforce diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace. This is a temporary position available immediately for two months with the possibility of extension up to six months.This position is based in an activity-based working (ABW) environment. Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
