Details: The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) leads the public sector and works collaboratively both within government and with the community to achieve positive outcomes.
Policy and Cabinet is a dynamic, agile and strategic division that provides advice, support and direction across the ACT Public Service on complex policy matters, incorporating a central agency strategic and coordination role in strategic planning, infrastructure planning, social and economic policy, spatial planning, regional policy and engagement, government accountability and cross-government regulatory reform.
The Office for Climate Action is leading the coordination and delivery across government of initiatives on emissions reduction, resilience, and adaptation to climate change. The role supports the Minister for Climate Action, the Head of Service, and the Coordinator-General for Climate Action.
The Director will work as part of a small team to support the Coordinator-General for Climate Action with coordinating and integrating action across Directorates to deliver the Government's climate change agenda. They will also be responsible for undertaking specific project work to advance that agenda.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of three months commencing 28 October 2024. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months. This position currently operates in a hybrid capacity which includes working from home and in office under an activity-based working environment with unallocated desks when in the office.
