As part of the QRO leadership team, you will provide strategic leadership to deliver efficient and effective financial management that supports government priorities.
This role encompasses leading teams responsible for financial management processes for QRO's operational budget, administered revenue transactions, and procurement and contract management activities.
Your typical day as Director Finance may include:Leading and supporting the Finance, Administered Revenue, and Contracts, Procurement & Vendor Management Teams.Providing advice to executives on finance and procurement matters, promoting responsible financial management across QRO.Analysing and reviewing financial and procurement reporting and identifying opportunities to improve budget and contract and resource management in QRO.Managing relationships with key stakeholders, to ensure finance and procurement activities support business outcomes.Actively monitoring and managing the use of Government funds to ensure appropriate governance and accurate reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate skills and/or relevant experience across the following key areas:Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to effectively manage financial performance and drive strategic decision-making.In-depth understanding of government procurement policies, standards and thresholds, and ICT contracting frameworks.Strategically lead teams, effectively guiding them towards the achievement of organisational goals.
(Experience in leading similar functions in a government setting would be an advantage).Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster collaboration, provide expert advice, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.Experience in adhering to relevant financial regulations and in implementing controls to mitigate risk.
