The key duties of the position include: As part of the AIMS Leadership Team and reporting to the CEO, play a key role in the ongoing success and growth of AIMS by building AIMS' brand, reputation, visibility and positioning with key local, national and international audiences. Lead and develop a strategic, effective and coordinated portfolio of external engagement activities and contribute to the strategy and direction of AIMS. Coordinate external activities in collaboration with other AIMS directorates and corporate functions, from strategic design to content and event delivery, tailored to meet complex stakeholder needs. Promote AIMS strategy and ensure strong integration between functions within (communications, government relations and international development) and outside (business development) the external relations program. Manage relationships and draw on your expertise to lead and develop strategies, policies and procedures to achieve effective external engagement and communication, including implementing a modern unified communications strategy. Represent AIMS at Australian and international conferences, workshops, strategic events and committees to build and maintain influential and positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including decision and policy makers in State and Commonwealth government departments, academic institutions, research agencies, organisations and private industry in the Asia-Pacific Region. #J-18808-Ljbffr
