The External Affairs team within The Cabinet Office is looking for someone who can build a strong network of senior media and communication professionals across the sector to work collaboratively & consistently on external affairs matters.
The Director, External Affairs will lead the team to tell stories about government policy & achievements, respond to emerging media & communication issues & build relationships and external affairs capability across all levels in government agencies.

How you'll contribute:
As our valued Director, you will play a vital part in contributing to the creation of innovative and effective media strategies that will assist in delivering Queensland Government priorities.
In this diverse and intellectually stimulating role, you'll make your mark by:
Building a network of senior media communication professionals to work collaboratively and consistently on external affairs matters.Leading the team to deliver powerful media communication strategies, media opportunities and story-driven content and artefacts.Building collaborative and productive working relationships at all levels with government agencies.Supporting the Crisis Communication Network during the stages of crisis response.What you'll bring to the role:
You'll draw on your knowledge of contemporary media trends, experience managing multiple projects and working in a fast-paced environment.
A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
