The Council is committed to their vision of 'Community at our Heart', enabling connected, prosperous, and inclusive communities, built on strong rural foundations.A rare opportunity has presented to appoint a suitably qualified and visionary professional to the role of Director Essential Services and Assets.Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and managing a motivated and collaborative team, your key responsibilities will include:Oversee the development and delivery of the capital works and maintenance programsEnsure the Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan is executed, evaluated, and performance standards are metProvide trusted advice and recommendations to the CEO and CouncilMaintain sound, strategic relationships with key stakeholdersDrive customer service excellence and a high performing workplace cultureContribute to the financial sustainability of CouncilProvide strategic direction for asset, project, and contract managementProvide technical support and advice regarding road maintenance and waste management operationsIdeally, you will bring a strong business acumen together with relevant qualifications in engineering, planning, or regulatory and compliance. Your ability to think outside the box and a willingness to embrace new technologies will be well received.
