Director ESA Workforce Strategy
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of PermanencyDetails: The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) is seeking applications from highly motivated, experienced and suitable individuals to fill the position of Director, ESA Workforce Strategy.
Under the broad direction of the Assistant Commissioner, Corporate, the Director, ESA Workforce Strategy will work closely with ESA employees, including Executives, and the Justice and Community Safety Directorate People and Workplace Strategy team on a range of workforce related matters, including recruitment, position management and conditions of service.
The Director, ESA Workforce Strategy, will liaise and consult with relevant stakeholders to develop, implement, and oversee strategic projects to achieve organisational priorities in line with the ESA Strategic Plan 2024-27. This includes the ESA Work Experience Program and the Inclusion and Belonging Committee.
The Director, ESA Workforce Strategy, is responsible for developing and disseminating regular workforce reports to the Executive, including the ESA Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Experience and qualifications in a human resource role is highly desirable.An understanding of emergency services, rostering systems, the Work, Health and Safety Act and other related government legislation and policies is desirable.Driver's licence is essential.This position requires a Working with Vulnerable People Check.Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with a possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill identical future vacancies over the next 12 months.
