The Global Technology Solutions (GTS) - Strategy and Delivery Team is a dynamic group of highly motivated and results-driven professionals dedicated to translating ResMed's strategy into an actionable roadmap.

Let's talk about the role
As the Director of Enterprise Architecture (EA), you will develop the EA vision and strategy that enables ResMed's business goals, driving innovation, optimizing resources and enabling autonomy and increased velocity for product and business teams. The role has the following responsibilities:
Lead the development of a value proposition and communication plan for the EA practice, highlighting its role in strategy, innovation and risk management.
Develop and maintain the EA roadmap to align with strategic goals and business objectives.
Guide a cross-functional approach to map the current and future state business capabilities and value streams, identifying opportunities and recommending solutions to achieve business outcomes.
Leverage your hands-on engineering experience and engineering mindset to bridge the gap between strategic vision and technical implementation, ensuring alignment with engineering teams.
Collaborate with domain architects to define and deliver future state architecture, guided by strategic principles, standards and guidelines.
Collaborate with domain architects to implement the EA operating model including framework, tools and architecture governance and review processes that enable effective delivery of scalable, flexible and secure solutions.
Identify opportunities for technology cost optimization and ensure cost-effective technology investments.
Engage stakeholders across product, business, and technology teams, building strong relationships to enable informed decisions and help balance risk and agility.
Utilize your technical expertise to mentor and lead engineering teams while continuously refreshing your own skills to foster a culture of continuous learning, and technical excellence.
Develop an architecture community of practice to foster collaboration, continuous improvement and successful implementation of EA initiatives.
Monitor and analyze market and technology trends impacting the organization to identify technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable business strategy.
Work with data protection (Enterprise Security, Privacy, Quality/Compliance) teams to ensure our products and systems have data protection as part of architecture by default and design.
Let's talk about you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
Ten or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations in a multitier environment.
Proven hands-on engineering experience, with the ability to demonstrate an engineering mindset and maintain technical acumen.
Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit and trade-off analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
Knowledge of business ecosystems, software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), APIs, open data, microservices, and predictive analytics.
Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks – TOGAF certification would be a plus.
Understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, such as generative AI and its applications.
Familiarity with EA tools, graphical modelling approaches and repository management.
Strong leadership skills, along with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including in teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
Balances the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals.
Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and technology leaders.

Employees accrue three weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) in their first year of employment, receive 11 paid holidays plus 3 floating days and are eligible for 14 weeks of primary caregiver or two weeks of secondary caregiver leave when welcoming new family members. Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.
Base Pay Range for this position:
$174,000 - $218,000
For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
