Engagement and Communications; Brisbane City
Provide senior leadership and strategic direction across the Commission's internal and external stakeholder engagement and communications strategies. As a member of the Executive Management Committee, the position will work closely with the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and other leaders to embed a collaborative approach in leading the delivery of the Commission's whole of Queensland engagement strategy.

The Queensland Human Rights Commission is an independent statutory human rights agency with responsibilities under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 and the Human Rights Act 2019. Our purpose is to strengthen the understanding, acceptance and promotion of human rights in Queensland, and to eliminate discrimination and sexual harassment.
Your role
You will be responsible for leading the Engagement and Communications team to enhance the Commission's communications capabilities to deliver high quality, best practice communications. The position is responsible for forging partnerships and working with government and non-government stakeholders in politically sensitive and sometimes politically charged environments to achieve the objectives of the guiding legislation.
