Director, Enforcement Operations - Tmr

Details of the offer

The Organisation - TMR delivering for Queensland Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is a vital government agency moving and connecting people, places, goods, and services safely, efficiently, and effectively around Queensland. Of significant scale and scope, TMR and its people share a common value - to drive positive change and to make a difference. In this leadership role, add value to Queensland and support the creation of a single integrated transport network accessible to everyone! Brisbane Based Opportunity - Strategic, Operational & Technical Leadership As Director, Enforcement Operations, you will lead the Camera Detected Offence Program (CDOP) and provide strategic direction and engagement in the delivery and installation of camera enforcement assets across Queensland. Reporting to the Executive Director, Safer Roads Infrastructure (SRI), this exciting and vital role strategically and operationally contributes to the Unit's support of both TMR and the objectives of the 'Queensland Road Safety Strategy 2022-2031'. Working closely with Director peers (Safety Technology Assets and Safety Technology Systems), you will collaborate broadly with key stakeholders across the Camera Detected Offence Program at an inter-agency and inter-government level (Local, State, and Federal), TMR Districts/Branches, the Queensland Police Service, and beyond. Importantly, you will have frequent interface with vendors and oversight of associated contract administration and delivery. Leading a newly created and combined team from TMR and the Queensland Police Service (~45 policy, enforcement camera subject matter experts), and being responsible for the day-to-day management of camera technology, with many touchpoints across the system, you will ensure the end-to-end pre-adjudication, data management, and prosecution support processes are connected, efficient, and customer-focused. You will prepare high-level, timely, strategic advice for Government, TMR Senior Leaders, and other critical stakeholders on issues relating to road safety strategy and policy, including camera enforcement technologies and operations. In addition, you will drive change across Government in line with emerging technological solutions and operational road safety initiatives. Your Leadership and Camera Detected Offence Program Experience Subject matter knowledge is highly desirable for this opportunity, demonstrating alignment to the scale, scope, and complexity of the operating environment of this role and TMR, specific knowledge of camera systems/relevant legislative parameters, and contract management of enforcement programs/vendors in Australia. As an inspiring and contemporary leader of highly regarded teams, it will also be your ability to: Proactively identify underlying causes of risks and issues, and develop contingency plans to ensure ongoing governance and legislative requirements are met; Read contentious and sensitive situations and respond appropriately to manage relationships and persuade stakeholders toward mutually beneficial outcomes; Remain composed during high-stakes situations, supporting the team to recognise gaps in information and seek advice to enable a prompt and considered response; Be dedicated to promoting safety, respect, inclusion, and diversity within a workplace setting, whilst modelling customer centricity and further developing valued industry networks and client relationships.
