About the opportunity There is currently one (1) Director Emergency Management position available for immediate filling with a Senior Executive Service contract offered for up to 5 years. The Director leads the delivery of incident and emergency preparedness to ensure the Department has the capability to respond effectively to biosecurity incidents and natural hazards impacting animal welfare and our primary industries.
The Director also provides strategic coordination and oversight of complex response operations, including the delivery of logistics and resourcing across multiple concurrent responses.
This role requires leadership at a departmental and cross-government level and is critical to ensuring the Director General can effectively fulfill state and national emergency management obligations.

Employment Conditions and Additional Information DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
