Styles Street Community Child Care Centre is a not-for-profit community-based centre established in 1973 with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality early childhood education and care.
Rated 'Exceeding', we are licensed for 60 children and operate across 3 rooms, catering to 2-year-olds through to preschool-aged children.
We provide a welcoming, warm, inclusive and safe environment for all the children and their families and are passionate about connecting with our local community.

We are seeking a passionate, organised and warm Director to join our leadership team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
You will work closely with staff, families, and the community to foster a nurturing and collaborative environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the management and administration of the service.Supervise the implementation of developmentally appropriate programs.Recruitment and management of staff.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements.Oversee the management of enrolments, budgets, and other operational aspects.Provide professional leadership, guidance, and development for staff.Liaise with families, external agencies, and management committees.Maintain and develop policies and procedures in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and other relevant guidelines.Support the centre's strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing.About you: You are an experienced early childhood leader who is passionate about early childhood education and brings key skills and demonstrated track record in fostering collaborative, supportive, community-focused environments.
With a Bachelor of Education/ Early Childhood Teaching Degree or equivalent (or actively working towards), you hold a current accredited teacher status, valid Working with Children Check clearance, current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications and approved child protection qualification.
Ideally you will bring prior experience as an Early Childhood Director and demonstrated ability to lead both pedagogical and operational aspects of a service.
Required Skills and Proficiencies: Strong leadership and management skills to inspire staff and manage operations.Deep understanding of child development and early childhood education frameworks (e.g., EYLF).Excellent communication and emotional intelligence to engage effectively with children, families, and staff.Capacity to foster collaboration, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a dynamic environment.Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with sector developments.Strong financial and operational acumen, including experience managing budgets and compliance.Broad sector awareness including government grants.Passion for early Childhood Education – A genuine enthusiasm for nurturing children's development and the engagement of staff who work with them.The Rewards and Culture: As a non-teaching Director, you will have the opportunity to bring your passion for early childhood education and lead a team who have a genuine enthusiasm for nurturing children's development.
The role can be either full time or part-time (possibility to job-share).
Our centre runs above minimum ratios and minimum qualifications.
Your role will support a part-time Assistant Director and Administrative assistant.
