As part of a new transformation mandate across the division, this newly created position within the Marketing & Digital Experience portfolio will work at the forefront of marketing and digital innovation to design and deliver a comprehensive Digital Experience strategy that aligns with UNSW's strategic objectives.
As a purpose-driven leader, you will bring a transformational mindset with a proven track record of working within a complex matrix organization.
With UNSW's Adobe and CRM transformation journey already underway, this role will be pivotal in unifying our digital experience strategy and driving the next phase of change.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to align the digital change agenda with measurable outcomes and demonstrate commercial acumen within the technology space, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Marketing & Digital Experience, the Director has 4 direct reports, whilst overseeing an indirect team of 32 people.

Skills & Experience summary: You will hold a relevant qualification, or equivalent level of knowledge, and experience alongside:
Proven transformation leadership experience with significant experience building organisational digital capacity, operating model transformation and successfully embedding a high-performance culture that has delivered long-term outcomes in a major institution of comparable complexity.
Advanced stakeholder management and relationship development experience, including sophisticated influencing skills and high intellectual capability with the ability to take senior stakeholders and teams on the journey of change.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of sales and marketing performance levers, with an ability to set targets, balance multiple priorities, plan complex work plans and review return on investment.
Proven track record in financial/budget management, effective resource management and strategic prioritisation to maximise impact.
Substantial leadership and management experience relevant to the high-profile nature of the role and the oversight of a large digital marketing, web, UX and digital operations team, with the ability to lead a service delivery culture with agility, manage and motivate individuals, teams, and agency partners.
Demonstrated ability to apply digital leading practice in large, diverse, and complex service-focused organisation with global presence.
Experience gained in higher education, prestige brand or professional services sector desirable.
Extensive experience and understanding of digital marketing automation tools (Adobe technology stack), analytics (Adobe Analytics), sales CRM (MS Dynamics), business performance reporting and visualisation (Power BI) and other relevant tools at an enterprise level.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to articulate complex information clearly and succinctly to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of the expectations of successful shared services in an organisation which functions on a decentralised model.
Excellent analytical, organisational and decision-making skills.
